High molecular weight polyethylene insulated copper, cut to length. The jacket is the reason this and not building wire: chlorine and hydroxyl generated at an anode will work through a softer insulation and take the copper with it. Halar and Kynar jackets are available to order for higher-temperature and chemically aggressive service.
