Check every site without driving to it.

The CI RMU is a remote monitoring unit for cathodic protection systems. It reports live volts and amps over cellular, satellite or WiFi, alarms Corrosion Integrity and your operator the moment a system turns off, and lets the output be raised or lowered from the portal — with no subscription.

  • Cellular · satellite · WiFi
  • No subscription
  • Volts and amps adjusted remotely
  • Alarms to you and to us

The CI RMU, start to finish.

Where it goes, what is inside, the portal, the alarm and the remote adjustment — in under two minutes.

Every side

Built for the field.

A compact enclosure with its own solar top-up and an external antenna. The same electronics ship inside the CI PV DC Current Controller.

The problem

Every check is a full trip.

Remote tanks and pipelines are checked the slow way: a truck, a long drive, a meter reading and the drive back. Weekly and monthly checks add up to a year of trips — and a rectifier that stops the day after a visit is not found until the next one.

Miles away

Nobody is there to see it

Water tanks and pipeline test stations sit far from any road and any office. A tripped breaker or a failed module shows no sign until someone drives out.

The truck roll

Every reading is a site visit

A weekly check is fifty-two drives a year for each site — a crew’s day spent bringing back two numbers a radio could have sent.

Unprotected time

Off until someone notices

A rectifier that stops leaves the structure unprotected until the next visit. That gap is corrosion nobody planned for.

01

Measure

The RMU reads the rectifier’s output volts and amps on its 20-bit sensor board.

02

Report

Readings go out over cellular. Where the tower drops out, satellite takes over; where a site has WiFi, it uses that.

03

Alarm

If a system turns off, the same alarm reaches Corrosion Integrity and your operator at once.

04

Adjust

Raise or lower the output volts and amps from the portal and watch the unit confirm the new setting. No site visit.

What you get

Monitoring and control, not just an on/off light.

Weekly and monthly checks move into the portal. Each one is a trip your crew does not make, and each alarm is a failure found the day it happens instead of at the next visit.

Three networks

Cellular, satellite and WiFi radios in one unit. When the tower drops out, satellite takes over.

No subscription

Cellular data is included for 10 years. There is no monthly service plan to sign.

One portal

CI’s client portal lists every asset — project location, CP system type, live volts and amps.

Both notified

When a system turns off, the alarm reaches Corrosion Integrity and your operator at the same time.

Adjust remotely

Raise or lower the output volts and amps from the portal. The unit confirms the new setting.

Built in

Ships inside the CI PV DC Current Controller as a factory option — nothing extra to mount at the site.

Why CI

A typical RMU, and ours.

Most remote monitoring units watch one network, bill monthly and tell you whether the rectifier is on. Ours is built by the people who design and service the cathodic protection system it watches.

Built in

Inside our PV controller, from the factory.

The CI PV DC Current Controller runs a cathodic protection system with no utility power at all. Order it with the RMU and it arrives wired, tested and reporting.

Where it works

Pipelines

Rectifiers and test stations spread along miles of right-of-way, each one a drive to check.

Water storage tanks

Reservoirs on hilltops and in the desert, often off-grid on a PV controller.

Power plants

Buried fire water, fuel gas and circulating water systems that have to stay at criterion.
